Pen Contours and Accents

If you take a close look at the pens for sale and the pens in the gallery you will notice that the barrels are contoured differently from pen to pen. This is true even within the same style. This is one of the features that makes our custom pens unique. By changing the depth of the curvature and locations of the curvatures you can design a unique Rockenbach pen just for yourself.

Straight Barrel		This is an Example of a straight barrel and cap.
Convex Barrel		The apex (highest point of the curve) can be centered on the barrel or cap or be towards the upper or lower part of the barrel or cap. You can also have a combination of say a straight cap and convex curved barrel.
Concave Barrel	Picture coming soon	A concave barrel curves inward.
Flange		Some customers like a flange at the nib of a narrow pen for a comfort grip.
Flutes		This is an example of a Slimline pen with three flutes.
Finial	Picture coming soon
Bands		Inlaid natural wood, and acrylic bands. Unlimited variations
Orbits		Inlaid natural wood, and acrylic orbits. An orbit is a ban inlaid at an angle. Unlimited variations
Laminates		Two or more different barrel materials laminated together. Materials can be cut at any angle.
